Re: Current Standings report Points Gauge not correct [SOLVED]

I am using Turbo Tourney Pro 2005 since I can't use the database feature of the program. My webhost does not allow access from an external piece of software. It's been working fine but linking to the player picks would be a nice addition....too late for this year though.

Re: Current Standings report Points Gauge not correct [SOLVED]

Evidently my version is older than required because I upload the player picks at the same time as the standings pages, but there are no links to the player picks. Thanks anyway for the response.

Re: Current Standings report Points Gauge not correct [SOLVED]

Thanks Doug.... Quick question, I noticed that the Player Names on the Current Standings page are linked to that player's picks. Is that a recent edition to the software or is it a checkbox I missed in my set up? I went through all the options but did not see that as being available. Granted, I am u...

Re: Current Standings report Points Gauge not correct [SOLVED]

No matter what browser I use (Firefox, Edge, Chrome) it won't let me connect to the link posted by Heath 69 saying that the site is not secure. Am I the only one experiencing this?

Re: Pulling Comments that entries left

I have a php file that will pull that info along with the winner the player picked, along with the total score. You can pick and choose which information is displayed but the file would have to be on your server or a webhost. Take a look at http://www.fredsfollies.com/data/pickrecv19_16.php to see w...

Re: Error Message when Trying to Run Reports

Thanks Sam...I found where to reset the Baselines and followed the directions on the error message. Now when I run a report, I don't get the message. Yes, I thought about not posting the error message considering the age of the software. On the other hand, in all those years, I never had a problem w...

Error Message when Trying to Run Reports

I am using an old version of the software, mainly because I can't use the database option as my webhost won't let me connect with a third party software. I have not had any problems with the software until this year and the problem is that everytime I try to run a report I get the error message show...

Re: SFTP

I just use WinSCP, it's free and it has all the features you need. It is not integrated into TT, but it will work.

Re: Your Opinion Is Requested

Your opinion and anyone else's opinion is what I am looking for SamGordon. Thanks for your input. You make the same point that others have made so I guess I will have to change things next year. Maybe I can just list the name and timestamp.

Your Opinion Is Requested

For the last few years, I have been showing a list of players that have submitted their picks for the regular 64 team tournament as well as the Sweet 16 Tournament. The list shows the player's name, the championship team they have selected, the tiebreaker points and the timestamp of their submission...

Database Connection

I have been testing the database connection module of TT and am having trouble getting the right connection string to connect to a mysql database on my localhost. Does anyone have a working connection string for this?

Re: php help

Friend of mine figured it out to make it work dynamically without having to change numbers based on the number of submissions. The code change are as follows: for ($x=$i; $x<$num; $x++) { (line 85 of the file) This line replaces the line that showed: for ($i=22; $i<$num; $i++) { (line 100 of the file)

Re: php help

In answer to your question...yes. I am not fluent in php so I am still trying to figure out the needed code. Your suggestion in an earlier post did not work but I keep plugging along. Any other ideas would be welcomed.

Re: php help

There will be a total of 45 players that will submit. I am trying to figure out your post as I am not fluent in php and don't know if the 27 number you are referencing has any bearing on what I want to accomplish.

Re: php help

Thanks for your post SamGordon...I actually got the code to split the columns out except that it is not splitting it correctly. If you look at this page you will see what I mean. The problem is that it is not splitting the columns correctly and is duplicating some of the entries. Here is the code th...

php help

Hopefully someone on here has the php knowledge to help me with what I am trying to accomplish. Up to this point, I have generated a piece of code that pulls the information from the .ttw file that shows the player name, the team the player picked to win it all, the tie breaker points and the date/t...

Yeah, I was talking about opening it, taking a screen shot and it staying on the screen. I figured out how to pin it to the task bar so that is almost the same think.

You should be able to highlight the text with your mouse, right click, then select 'copy'. You can then paste in the message here. That will show us the scheduler log results. For a screen grab, I like using the Snip tool. https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/13776/windows-use-snipping-tool-to-...

Just tested it and you're right...the possible points showed up once the player picks were imported. Sorry for the premature post.

Re: Sweet 16 Pool Reports

I have a handful that have submitted, but I have not imported them into the program. I guess I should have done that before posting, but I could have sworn that when I did this for the 64 team tournament, it showed the possible points before any players were imported.

Sweet 16 Pool Reports

I have my Sweet 16 pool set up and was going to print a current standings report but noticed that the possible points column has a 0 in all of the rows. While the pool has not started, should it not have the possible points listed for each player to be 128 based on a 4-8-16-32 point setting? am I mi...

I thought I had read somewhere that there were some sample scripts that pulled data from the access database for additional reports. Those were the scripts I was looking for. Was I mistaken in my assumption? If so, do you know where I can find some?

Re: Player Listing show comments

If your files are on a webhost or you host your own, you can use the attached php file that will pull the player name, the team they picked to win it all, the tiebreaker points, any comments they may have left and the time the picks were submitted. You will have to change the name of your .ttw file ...

Doug, I don't see any script files in the db folder. Here is a screenshot of all of the files in the db folder. Am I missing something?
