[SOLVED] Entire Pool was Deleted

I opened the system this morning and everything had been erased. I tried to reload the picks and nothing is there. It's like my pool never existed. I save before I close the system every time. No idea what happened. I called the support number listed on the Support page and was directed to some outsourced IT company who were trying to charge me $100 just to run a virus scan, like that was the issue. Then they said that the reason it was gone is because the software was only compatible with Windows XP, which I know is not true. I have Malware Bytes on my computer, so I know that malware is not the issue. What do I do? Really don't want to have to tell everyone that our pool was deleted.

Not sure what phone number you are speaking of as there is no support number for Turbo Tourney, so I hope you didn't pay anyone because that is not affiliated with this program.

There is an FAQ for how to recover lost entries:

Have you tried this?

Do you have a backup of your *.tt file??? If not save a 2nd copy somewhere other than your computer, use a flash drive or something, don't wait do it now!! Do it any time you make a change or import new entries.

Thanks for the response. I saw those instructions at the top of the Forum after I made the post and have since retrieved the lost data. I did not pay anyone to do anything and I have since had my IT guy make sure that our system was not hacked in any way. Not really sure how that number was on there, but when I clicked on the Get Technical Support option on the Contact Us page of the Turbo Tourney site this was number that was given to me: 1-888-644-5585

It was definitely someone who had nothing to do with Turbo Tourney trying to get me to pay them to "fix" the issue. You guys might want to look into that.

And you do have your pool back up and working, correct?

The pool is back up with all of the players, but it doesn't seem to have loaded their picks. Just their names. I the steps to reload everything twice.

The number of points for the tie breaker is there, but not any of the teams picked.

Can you either send a link to your pool, or take a snap shot of what you are seeing and post that pic.

Wait, the FAQ is just for downloading entries. I think you still need to load the pairings. Tournament -> Pairings -> Download from the web.

Then I think you'll be OK. SAVE YOUR FILE. SAVE A BACKUP OF YOUR FILE.

If you're not, the next step is to look at the .ttw file you downloaded from the control panel.

Use notepad to look at the file you downloaded (you can use Notepad). It should look something like below (I've changed names to protect the inocent) and be a .ttw:
