Need help saving a file on second computer
I down loaded Turbo Tourney Pro and was able to log into our pool from my computer at home as a second computer. I saved the file but it did not boot up this morning when I pulled up the program and our file was missing when I tried to log into our file. What could we be doing wrong
Re: Need help saving a file on second computer
Where did you last save your pool file? That is where you'll need to open it from. It's hard to say what might be happening but if you are transferring it between 2 computers how are you going about moving the file between the two?

Re: Need help saving a file on second computer
We transferred it to a flash drive but last night once I got logged on I typed in the file number and it popped up. I do have a Microsoft 10 computer and have had issues with not clearing my footprints. I tried deleting the files and reinstalling but it did not ask for a registration number. Just brought up an empty file
Re: Need help saving a file on second computer
I guess I would expect that, you would need to select the File menu, then Open and then locate the file on the flash drive in order to open it in the program.

Re: Need help saving a file on second computer
We are trying to use Rich King's file as he is our new Commissioner. I came back into town to help him as he has never ran a march madness File. I remembered I was able to transfer it onto my Lap Top when I went to a region so we are trying to transfer to my new computer so that I do not have to go to his house while he is at work. To make this work I need to download his file so I can put in the hard sheets while he is at work. I would also need the files to do our Region Reports as we pay every Region Winner. I am the old Commissioner but always used the Internet add on as I am not good with web sites but Rich is. Where do I find our access code in the program so I can plug his in.

If you select the Tournament menu, then Options and click on the User Info tab it will show you your registration information.

Did you follow this FAQ? viewtopic.php?f=4&t=12
The more details you can give us the better. For example...
1) I saved the file as mypool.tt on a flash drive.
2) I brought that flash drive to the second computer.
3) I opened TT and selected file->open and pointed to mypool.tt on the flash drive.
etc, etc, etc,

I would also re-iterate that rather than inputting the paper files into your computer directly you should enter them online that way all of those submissions are stored in the same file as a backup on the TT site.
That FAQ should give you a lot of help though.

Do you have a backup of your *.tt file??? If not save a 2nd copy somewhere other than your computer, use a flash drive or something, don't wait do it now!! Do it any time you make a change or import new entries.

Good advice, thanks Phil. I'll be doing that from now on.Phil Wojo wrote:I would also re-iterate that rather than inputting the paper files into your computer directly you should enter them online that way all of those submissions are stored in the same file as a backup on the TT site.
